Gifted Hands volunteers provide a variety of services and are responsible for an array of activities for persons experiencing many of life’s most difficult circumstances such as at-risk children, homeless teens, adults with HIV/AIDS, adults residing in temporary housing, and seniors seeking companionship.
Below is a sample of the types of work that Gifted Hands volunteers do:
Develop art projects to share the beauty and healing gifts of artistic creation.
Manage art projects from student introduction through final display/sale.
Lead art classes to diverse students at various locations in New York City.
Manage art supply inventories.
Manage in-kind donations.
Provide musical entertainment to groups at various locations in New York City.
Provide childcare services to Gifted Hands clients during class sessions.
Provide administrative support to Gifted Hands Executive Director.
Develop and manage a one-time or annual fund-raising event.
Become a member of the Gifted Hands Board of Directors.
Contribute to fund-raising efforts by securing corporate and individual sponsorships.
Introduce your employer, friends, and family to Gifted Hands.
